No fake review here. If you don’t like pineapple in your Satay Chicken, just pick it out? I loved the previous owner’s food and new food is even better. Lunch specials at $15 each ($16 with a drink) for Garlic Prawns and Satay chicken were incredible for our family.

Huge tasty portions, one of the best salt and pepper tofu dishes I have had for some time! Can’t vouch for the rest of the menu, but my order was fresh and delectable!

I ordered home delivery through Uber eats and it was the first time from this restaurant. The order was Singapore noodles, spring rolls and prawn crackers. Well, both the noodles and rolls were delicious as were the crackers, actually as are the crackers because they gave me an enormous bag of them and I mean enormous! When I saw the bag I burst out laughing - I’ve got enough to last me a good month. So I’ll certainly be ordering from here again.

Mr Q’s is a refreshingly traditional Chinese restaurant, think fresh veggies, bold flavours, and all your standard favourites done well. It’s not a fine-dining experience, but the food quality is reliably good, and there’s a quiet enjoyment in how consistent it all is. You won’t get celebrity-chef flair here, but you will leave full and satisfied. It’s been years since I last dined in, and I was pleasantly surprised by the recent updates. The dining area is now separated from the kitchen with a glass barrier, making it feel more contained and casual. The setup is simple, more cafeteria-style than cosy or romantic but it works for a quick, honest meal. Portions are generous, and while the place may not dazzle, it certainly delivers. A solid option for when you’re after comfort and flavour without fuss.

Changing my initial rating of 5 to a 1 ⭐. We ordered the usual special fried rice and satay chicken. Fried rice was brown, full of soy and lacking flavour. Satay chicken was a weird colour, with pineapple. Based on the recent reviews... A change in ownership and chef. I won't be going back.
